Founded in 1970 through the noble vision and tireless devotion of Founder Hazrat Maulana Abdul Khabir Kashifi, the institution operates under the academic guidance of Darul Uloom Deoband and is registered under the West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961 (Regd. No: S/IL/13530/2002). It aims to preserve and expand the noble Islamic tradition of authentic knowledge, moral excellence, and societal welfare.

In 1970, through the deep vision, tireless dedication, and enduring sacrifice of Founder Hazrat Maulana Abdul Khabir Kashifi, the foundation of Bankipur Madrasah Darul Uloom Iliyasia was laid in South 24 Parganas. His mission was to establish a sanctuary of authentic Quranic learning, moral rectitude, and community upliftment that would serve generations of seekers of Islamic scholarship.
